The 2020 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships were cancelled due to the Global Pandemic. During that time Online Poomsae practice and competition became a huge part of Taekwondo practice. We did a program in November 2020 called’ “How Poomsae Saved Taekwondo”

Now, after a 4 year delay, the largest and most prestigious Taekwondo Poomsae event in the world will commence with this week. Athletes have been training and competing for this global event. Marc Zirogiannis discusses the background and what to expect as 2022 Goyang gets underway.

  1. Dear Taekwondo life magazine,

I love your articles, reviews and consistency in your updating teaching us so much about martial arts.

My name is Ann Maina . I’m working for an organization in Brazil. We are trying to rehabilitate communities and mostly kids aged 5 and above from under-privileged areas through taekwondo. We focus on SDGs training mostly peace keeping. Other programs we are involved in are environmental education, drug prevention, offering food programs, language teaching and female empowerment.

We are looking for outlets to share our story and create more awareness about our organization and how we are using sport to improve livelihoods. Your site covers taekwondo stories with many amazing athletes. We would like to know if you take organizations stories, mostly non profit and feature them on your website. This would be an exciting opportunity for us all.

It would be great to hear from you and learn more about the process.

    Best wishes,
    Ann Maina
