August 15, 2026 (NYC)-Man Of War Is a High-Intensity Tactical Action Thriller.   Man of War is the latest release from Well Go USA Entertainment, and it is filled with thrilling action sequences.  This well paced and well Directed film is very good.  Man of War is now available  on Digital, Blu-ray & DVD.

This is a well paced, modern war film set in the backdrop of the early days of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.   LaMonica Garrett play a soldier that marks on a journey to reduce his adopted daughter from Russian captors.    This foray into the leading man is relatively new for Garrett, but he handles it adeptly.  His low key performance is a cross between Clint Eastwood and Michael Jai White, and that is very notable.   He does a good job commanding the screen.

The film itself is fast moving and action packed.   Most of the action is war related action- gun violence, tanks, and related war film action.  The movie is well directed and well filmed.  The visual perspectives utilized in the cinematography create engaging viewing for the audience.   Kaufman does a good job of creating a cinematic fell that exceeds what I expect the budget of this film is.

The hand to hand action sequences are also well done.   While they don’t match the level of the gun and weapons scenes they have a powerful place in the film.

Andrew Howard is sharp as a Ukrainian operative.   He does a good balancing act between being an offbeat hired gun and a man plagued by the unlawful invasion and devastation of his country.  His external performance is a good balance to Garrett’s internal, smoldering personality.

Jason Patric does a fine job as an intelligence officer surreptitiously assisting the protagonists  from a remote location.  His performance is solid.

Daniel Bernhardt stars in the role of the villain.  What can I say about Bernhardt aside from the fact that he never phones it in and always brings high intensity and gravitas to his villainous roles.  He is an underrated action star.  His physical acuity is only matched by his acting prowess.  He makes any role memorable.

Man of War is part of recent expansion of Well Go‘s portfolio into non martial arts related action films and is a worthwhile addition to their collection of distributed films.

I recommend this film.
