September 9, 2025 (NYC)– Affinity is a Solid Action Film.   A Look at Affinity, a martial arts film starring Chilean martial arts sensation, Marko Zaror, which debuts on Digital September 30.  Here is a synopsis and review of this Well Go USA Entertainment release.

Chilean martial-arts star Marko Zaror is Bruno, an ex-SEAL struggling with PTSD. He lives a life in fear of his demons until one day when he discovers a beautiful woman with no past of her own. Together they begin to build a life, but when she disappears, Bruno must return to his violent past if he’s going to save her from a shocking conspiracy in this riveting, fast-paced sci-fi action film from director Brandon Slagle.

REVIEW:

Affinity is a solid action film starring Chile’s most famous martial arts action star, Marko Zaror.  It is a unique vehicle for Zaror to display both his martial arts techniques, as well as his acting skills.

The story of Affinity revolves around a man whose PTSD from a military mission haunts his life and relationships until a beautiful and mysterious girl enters his life and changes everything.  In the background of this love story is a world of gangland thieves using sex and drugs to commit violent robberies.  It is where these two worlds intersect that the story gets most interesting.

The story is simple and interesting, but most significantly, it is a vehicle for a lot of top notch martial arts movie action.  This compact script packs a lot of action and fighting into an 80 minute movie.  Marko Zaror leading the fight choreography team, as well as the cast, is part of what makes the fight scenes here surprisingly good, and fun to watch.

Zaror has become a prominent figure in action and martial arts films in recent days.    He starred as Scott Adkins’ nemesis in Jesse V. Johnson’s Savage Dog.    He played a prominent role in the international blockbuster, and  4th film in the John Wick franchise, John Wick 4.  He has teamed up with Ernesto Diaz Espinoza for a series of movies, including Fist of the Condor.      He showed us he can act really well in this year’s terrific action film, Diablo.  He does a very good job in Affinity in balancing action, acting, and romance.  Being a romantic lead may be a departure for Zaror; however, he tackles it with grace.

The small supporting cast are very good in this one.  Louis Mandylor supports this one and he is always fun to watch.  This film is no exception.  Every scene with Mandylor in this film is a delight.

Brook Enc is appealing in her role and tough and caring friend and Jane Mirro is enchanting as the mysterious heroine with a checkered past.

Affinity is a fun and unique watch.  It is solid action, martial arts, and a bit of science fiction thriller. I recommend it.
