August 10, 2024 (New York, NY)– The Beast Within (2020) is Coming. Director, Alexander J. Farrell, weaves a story, with a dramatic twist through the vehicle of horror. This Well Go USA release hits Digital on August 13, 2024, and Blue-ray and DVD in time for Halloween (October 22, 2024).
Synopsis:
After a series of strange events leads her to question her family’s isolated life on a fortified compound deep in the English wilds, 10-year-old Willow (Caoilinn Springall) follows her parents on one of their secret late-night treks to the heart of the ancient forest. But upon witnessing her father undergo a terrible transformation, she too becomes ensnared by the dark ancestral secret they’ve tried so desperately to conceal.
Review:
The Beast Within (2024) is a low budget British horror film from Alexander J. Farrell. It is being distributed by Well Go USA Entertainment. The film has a small, but solid cast, led by Game of Thrones’ Kit Harrington.
The movie is set in a remote place. The year it takes place is unclear because of the pristine nature of the film, and how it was shot. All of those elements are good compliments to this homage to classic horror films, with a twist. The essence of the appeal of horror films is that they are allegories that are founded in real life fears and horrors.

This movie does a good job of being engaging, and thought provoking. There is more here than a simple werewolf’s tale, and that is a positive feature of the film. The film drops many breadcrumbs along the path to a reveal, which puts together some of the puzzle pieces encountered along the journey.
The strength of the film, in my opinion, is the perspective from which it is told; that of Harrington’s character’s daughter. Caolinn Springall does a good job carrying this burden. Viewers might recognize her from George Clooney’s The Midnight Sky, where she also shined. She is the heart of the film, and elevates it. Worth the watch.
Solid performances, good direction, and good storytelling are the hallmarks of this one.
