November 12, 2021 (Miami, FL)– Master Valerie Loureda Bellator MMA 271 Win-Breakdown. Earlier tonight (Friday November 12, 2021) 4th Dan Taekwondo Master, Valerie Loureda, won her match against Taylor Turner in a split decision in Bellator MMA #271.
In this episode, Marc Zirogiannis, LIVE during the match, breaks down the victory and calls the “play by play“. On Taekwondo Life Magazine’s card Master Loureda clearly won all three rounds for a unanimous decision; however, one judge awarded the decision to Loureda’s opponent.
The fight was distinct in Mixed Martial Arts, as there was not one instance where the fighters ended up on the ground, or engaged in any ground game, whatsoever. The victory was marked by Loureda’s domination of the stand up game, mostly with a series of hand combinations and some footwork. At the closing seconds of Round 1, Loureda unloaded a signature spinning back kick, causing some damage to her 5ft 10 inch opponent. In the closing seconds of the fight itself Master Loureda devastated Turner with a shocking blow to the face the drew blood; given more time this may have ended in a TKO.
In the post fight Press Conference this 23 year old Taekwondo competitor talked about her camp changes, which helped to facilitate this win. She was thrilled to be able to deliver a victory to her Taekwondo Master father, who was in her camp, and whose birthday coincided with the victory. It was a much different Press Conference atmosphere than the pre-fight one, which was filled with questions about Lourdes’s last fight and sole Professional loss.
We will continue to follow the career of this dynamic martial artist and entertainer.
