Scott Adkins Talks With Taekwondo Life

June 1, 2020 (NYC)– Scott Adkins is the leading martial arts movie star in the world today. On this week’s podcast Scott Adkins talks with Taekwondo Life.  When Scott was growing up in the United Kingdom he had a passion for martial arts and the movies.   By age 9 he began his martial arts journey, starting with Judo, and moving on to Taekwondo. He later ventured into the study of  Ninjutsu, Krav Maga, Karate, Wushu, Jiujitsu, Muay Thai,  and Capoeira.  

Scott spoke with Taekwondo Life Magazine on the heels of the release of his highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 Jesse V. Johnson collaboration, The Debt Collector.   Debt Collectors (2020) was released in the United States on May 29, 2020 to both critical and fan acclaim.

Scott spoke with Editor, Marc Zirogiannis, amidst the Coronavirus quarantine about his dual passion for movies and the martial arts.  Scott talked candidly about his process for choosing and making high quality martial arts films. Adkins was a highly motivated, singly-focused individual determined to make his way into the world of the martial arts movies he fell in love with as a teenager.

In this episode we learn about his journey from the Hong Kong movie scene, where he won the Jackie Chan Award in 2017, to becoming a leading man, fight coordinator, co-writer, and producer of such movies as Accident Man, Avengement, Triple Threat, Ninja, Ninja: Shadow of a Tear, Savage Dog, and the upcoming Adrian Bol film, Legacy of Lies.

This interview provides a great insight into a bright, driven, and successful man and martial artist that has charted his own roadmap for personal and professional success.
