Korean Falcon Falls Short in PFL DebutApril 24, 2021 (Atlantic City, NJ)-Korean Falcon Falls Short in PFL Debut.  In his PFLMMA 2021 debut in Atlantic City last night Korean featherweight, Jo Sung Bin, also known as The Korean Falcon, went the three (3) round distance against Tyler Diamond; however, he lost in a judge’s decision.

The Korean Falcon came close to finishing Diamond in the 3rd round, with a flurry of hand techniques, but Diamond managed to rebound and win this round, which was essential to his victory.

Under the PFL’s unique league structure Jo Sung-bin received no points towards a playoff berth for last night’s defeat; however, he is not eliminated from the competition.   He will have another opportunity to amass, up to, six (6) points towards the playoffs in his next regular season fight.  He will need to perform at a much higher level to make it to the Playoff round.   A mere win will not be enough.  He will likely need an early round finish.  In the PFL’s structure, the earlier the finish, the more points the competitor earns towards their total.
