Kim Un-Yong Sports Committee NY Chapter and NYU Taekwondo Club Sign MOU

March 31, 2026- (New York City)Kim Un-Yong Sports Committee NY Chapter and NYU Taekwondo Club Sign MOU for Development.  On March 25, 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony was successfully held at the John A. Paulson Center of New York University.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Jungjin Kim, President of the Kim Un-Yong Sports Committee NY Chapter; Mr. Seongki Kim, Treasurer;  NYU Head Coach Andrew Park; Coach Youngmin Kim; Poomsae Coach Jane Zhu; and Mr. Bryan Kwon, President of the NYU Sports Taekwondo Club.

The primary purpose of this agreement is to support the NYU Taekwondo Club through the Kim Un-Yong Sports Committee, thereby strengthening and further developing one of New York’s leading collegiate taekwondo teams.

As part of the collaboration, NYU Taekwondo Club members will participate as event staff and referees at the upcoming Kim Un-Yong Cup International Taekwondo Championships in New York. In return, the Committee will provide support for the team’s participation in the NCTA U.S. National Taekwondo Championships scheduled for late April.

President Jungjin Kim stated, “Through this agreement, we will provide full support to help the NYU Taekwondo Club grow and achieve even greater results in the future.”

Bryan Kwon, President of the NYU Taekwondo Club, expressed his gratitude, saying, “This is our first time signing an agreement with such a distinguished organization. We sincerely appreciate the support, and we promise that our members will actively contribute to the upcoming Kim Un-Yong Cup in New York.”

This partnership is expected to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations and contribute significantly to the development of taekwondo in New York, as well as the success of international competitions. Both parties plan to continue expanding their collaboration through future initiatives and support programs.
